Lee County Parks: dogs on beaches

Dogs are allowed on the beach only at Dog Beach, off State Road 865 south of Lovers Key State Park (Parks Ordinance 18-12). It is an unsupervised tidal flat: at mid to high tide you have to wade to reach it. Elsewhere in county parks dogs need a leash of 8 feet or less and a county licence tag.
